An old-school type work dog with cool power and natural work brain, very clever and a problem solver.
Great natural and fast outrunner screening for the sheep and using his nose when gathering. Confident and always on his sheep, forward and free moving, very cool head though very keen, a brilliant listener. Effective work dog both out in the open big ground as well as in the tight pens, loves to be on the heavy side pushing against pressure and battling stroppy sheep. Instantly adapts to any job and is brilliant on new ground, can be left working on his own, but thrives also under strict trial handling. Catches lambs and ewes on command. Works sheep, cattle and geese.

First Nursery win at 11 months, plenty Open wins and has run in the English National since 2 yo. Represented England in 2022 One Man and His Dog coming 2nd.

Off sheep social and relaxed, bomb-proof nature, easy to have around and not sensitive to any sounds and even works as a gun dog occasionally.

Strong built, very agile and fast dog with long legs and a big square head. 57cm tall and 21kg in lean & muscular condition.

Murdo is a very keen and stylish son of Gannon's. Natural and fast outrunner with great forward gear and work brain, an old soul who's never been a "silly pup" causing chaos - but a very clever and sensible top grade student and was naturally driving sheep on his own with great balance since a baby pup. He is a team player and good listener, always trying his absolute best. He's still a green work dog but showing great potential also for trials and I'm confident he'll be challenging his father in trials in no time.

Off sheep Murdo is the easiest and sweetest, most level headed dog. Very social and playful and has a way to get shy and cranky dogs out of their shells and play with him, and I use him to get new dogs in residential training to relax and trust me.

He is lighter built than his sire Gannon, ideal body shape and size for competitive agility etc. He's 56cm in height and 18kg in lean condition. Still filling up, but won't be a heavy dog.
Not bothered about loud sounds nor different surfaces.

Waiting for his DNA test results and long pedigree.

Puppy Plans

No litters planned for 2024 as our bitches are too young.

Sango Gannon is a frequently used stud, feel free to contact us if you are interested in a pup by him and we

can update you on the litters on ground, as many of the breeders do not advertise their litters.

Also young Murdo is starting to have plenty interest.
